Arkansas Governor Candidate Fires Back

Republican gubernatorial candidate Jim Keet talked to voters Thursday to "set the record straight" on the economy.

Keet's meeting is a day after Gov. Mike Beebe spoke to a crowd in Springdale about Arkansas's economic strategy.

"If you get that right and then in addition to that, you provide good jobs to them. You've trained them so they don't have to go to Dallas or Atlanta to get a job, then you can solve these other problems." Gov. Mike Beebe said.

Arkansas has a 27 percent high school dropout rate.

Keet said Arkansas should look at its tax structure to bring in new business to the state."That's exactly what I'm going to do." Keet said. "As the next Governor (I will) look at it from a business person's perspective."
